History:
The Beverly Breast Cancer Walk (BBCW) is a 3-mile walk held annually on Mother’s Day through the historic Beverly neighborhood of Chicago. The walk benefits The Cancer Center, the Comprehensive Breast Health Center and the radiology department at Little Company of Mary Hospital to provide state-of-the-art treatment and services to breast cancer patients and their families. The walk began in the year 2000 with founders Carol Moriarty, who is a breast cancer survivor, her sister Nancy Mulcahy, and friend Lisa O’Brien.  Over the past 18 years, participation has blossomed to over 14,000 annual walkers who have raised more than $5,500,000 to support patients and their families in the fight against breast cancer!
