United in the fight against breast cancer!
Join me for the OSF Beverly Breast Cancer Walk at Ridge Park (96th & Longwood, Chicago) on Mother's Day. Together, we will continue to make a difference in the community to improve the lives of all of those affected by breast cancer.
As many of you know my dear friend Laura & I have participated in this walk on Mother's Day for several years now. It's become our tradition! We actually started a couple of years prior to my sister being diagnosed with stage 2 & 3 breast cancer...she is now a seven year SURVIVOR!!! My rock! This year I am proud to join her at the SURVIVOR tent!! I was diagnosed with DCIS in late August - a very early stage of breast cancer. It's been a whirl wind of emotions, appointments, imaging, labs, reimaging, surgeries, radiation treatments and more follow up appointments. It seems that everyone you meet and talk with has been affected by this cancer or one of the many others. I have truly been blessed with the love and support of my family, co-workers, friends, friends of friends and everyone at Loyola!
This year I walk with pride as a SURVIVOR....with my SISTER SURVIVOR by my side!
I walk with family and friends who have been by my side throughout this experience!
I walk in support of all the women fighting this cancer....and their support teams!
I walk in support of four members of my circle of friends who are fighting the biggest fight of their life battling breast and other cancers!
Will you join me??? Will you join us??? Will you join Team SOS (Sisters Of Support)???
SOS has been walking in support of Ovarian Cancer Awareness for over 18 years! Another awful cancer that has affected my family; my oldest sister lost her battle to this cancer at the early age of 50. With our support there have been many advances in the treatment of Ovarian Cancer.
